Mining map

Where every ore and cave mineral in the Caeldun Isles is found, drawn from the world generator's own ore rules.

Tick ores on and off below the map. Dots mean a trace: dig anywhere there and you'll find a little. Solid colour means rich ground, and the stronger the colour, the more ore per chunk. The map is drawn from the same rules the world generator uses, so it's accurate to the blocks underground.

Tips for prospectors

  • Dig under high ground. Ores sit in depth bands, and a mountain puts more of the band beneath you. Iron and emerald are richest under hills.
  • Gold is rare in rock: rich on only half a percent of the land. Panning streams is a steadier source.
  • Plan the haul home. A stack of iron blocks weighs 192. See Weight and Ships.
