Reading the map
- Colour on land is height: green lowland, tan hills, pale rock and snow on the highest summits.
- Pale sea near the coast is the shallow shelf, safe for swimming and small boats. Darker blue offshore is the abyss. See The open ocean.
- Purple lines are the borders between regions.
- The dark red island in the far north is the Burning Isle.
